Zirdo’s latest film, Cheena Trophy hit the theatres on December 8.


Kendy recently wrapped up shooting for her next film with Dhyan Sreenivasan.

Actor Kendy Zirdo made her Malayalam film debut as the Japanese-Malayali woman Hitori in Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 in 2019. The film garnered significant attention for the actress, leading to her third Malayalam release, Cheena Trophy, which hit theatres on December 8. In this latest film, Kendy plays a Tibetan character, showcasing her versatility as an actress. Besides her acting talent, Kendy is also winning hearts for her singing skills, as a video of her singing the song Pularaan Neram from her film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 recently went viral on the internet.

The video features Kendy Zirdo at an event held at St. Mary’s College, Thrissur, where she interacted with fans and sang the song, leaving everyone in awe. Cheena Trophy revolves around a character who comes to Kerala with a secret plan. Kendy, in an interview with The Hindu, revealed that her character is somewhat mysterious and ends up falling in love with the village and its residents. The film is headlined by Dhyan Sreenivasan and directed by Anil Lal

In addition to Dhyan Sreenivasan, the film features a notable cast, including Jaffar Idukki, Devika Ramesh, Johny Antony, KPAC Leela, Sudheesh, Bittu Thomas, Jordi Poonjar, Sunil Babu, Ponnamma Babu, and Chef Pillai, among others. The film is produced by Anup Mohan, Lijo Ulahannan, and Ashlin Mary Joy under the banner of Presidential Movies International Pvt. Ltd. The music composition is handled by Sooraj Santhosh and Varkey, who is also responsible for the background music.

Kendy recently wrapped up shooting for her next film, which is yet to be named. This will mark her second collaboration with Dhyan Sreenivasan after their recent release. Despite being primarily associated with the Malayalam film industry, Kendy admitted to not having learned the language yet, expressing regret about it. She shared her desire to learn Malayalam, citing instances where the cast and crew laugh or make jokes on set, and she remains clueless. Kendy acknowledged the difficulty of the language but expressed her eagerness to become more proficient.
