The couple kept their wedding festivities away from the media’s gaze, leaving fans wondering about the details of their special day. Recently, during an appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Vicky Kaushal was asked by a participant about the wedding menu and the decision-making process behind it. Vicky disclosed that he had a say in selecting breakfast delicacies, while the dinner menu was curated by Katrina.
Vicky and actor Manushi Chillar appeared on Amitabh Bachchan’s show to promote their film The Great Indian Family. In the episode’s promo, a participant asked Vicky, “Vicky ji se ek sawaal hai. Shaadi ka jo menu tha woh kisne decide kia?” (I have a question for Vicky. Who decided the wedding’s menu).
Vicky responded, “Jo nashta tha woh maine decide kia tha kyuki usme chole bhature, aloo ke parathe, ye sab must tha. (I decided the breakfast which included chole bhature and aloo ke parathe.)”
He went on to add, “Dinner Katrina ne decide kia. Kyuki waise bhi kisi kaaranwarsh,(enacts holding a drink) 8 baje ke baad Punjabiyon ko koi farak nahi padta kya kha rahe hain. Katrina decided on the dinner menu. Because, anyway, for some reason, (mimics holding a drink) after 8 o’clock, Punjabis don’t really care about what they’re eating).”
During the trailer launch of his film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, while discussing their marriage, Vicky revealed that he was drunk a day before the wedding and had a terrible hangover. “Ek din phele, I was drunk. Shaadi ke ek din bad I was hungover. Serious haan, fact hain. Badi masti ki humne,” (I was drunk a day before the wedding and was hungover a day after it. We had too much fun),” he shared.
On December 9, 2021, surrounded by their intimate circle of friends and family, the couple tied the knot in Rajasthan.
