The actress, renowned for her contributions to the Kannada film industry, is reportedly bedridden due to knee pain. Anirudhha Jatkar, her son-in-law, shared details about her condition, stating that she is weak and facing difficulty in consuming meals.
The actress has been experiencing health issues for the past few days and has refrained from going out for the last two months. Anirudhha emphasized that her current health challenges are attributed to her age. Despite these difficulties, the family remains optimistic about her recovery through the collective power of prayers.
Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, widely known as Bharathi, boasts a significant career spanning over 50 years in the film industry. She has appeared in over 150 films across various languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Her acting journey commenced in 1966 with the film Dudde Doddappa, and she later took on the lead heroine role in Love in Bangalore in the same year. The actress ventured into Hindi cinema with Mehrban in 1967, directed by A. Bhimsingh. She featured in several Hindi films, including Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Purab Aur Paschim, Hum Tum Aur Woh, Mastana, and Kunwara Baap.
In 1975, Bharathi married the renowned Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan. His sudden demise in 2009 due to cardiac arrest deeply impacted the film industry. Despite facing challenges and societal expectations, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan has demonstrated resilience and strength.
