The Aadhaar card is a 12-digit extraordinary distinguishing proof number doled out to each selected occupant in India.
The most common way of refreshing Aadhaar archives online regularly costs Rs. 50 at actual Aadhaar centers, and it requires users to upload Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) documents in order to revalidate their demographic information, particularly if their Aadhaar card was issued a decade ago.
Although the UIDAI asserts that updating demographic information online will contribute to “improved ease of living, better service delivery, and enhance authentication success rate,” it is essential to keep in mind that updating demographic information is optional. However, the procedure is straightforward and can be finished in a few minutes.
Users must visit the UIDAI website’s Aadhaar Self Service Portal and log in with their Aadhaar number and an OTP in order to update their demographic information online. After that, users can select and upload scanned copies of the original documents for verification using the drop-down list after clicking on Document Update to check and verify the existing information.
To keep track of the progress of updating their information, users should keep the service request number after the process is finished.
While updating demographic information on Aadhaar online typically costs Rs. 50 .The UIDAI says that the procedure can be completed for free up until June 14 at physical centers.
