Launched a month ago, the range-topping NTorq variant is now just under Rs 1 lakh.
The TVS NTorq XT was launched in May as the range-topping variant in the popular NTorq family of scooters, sitting above even the peppiest of the lot – the Race XP.
At the time of its launch, the XT carried a lofty price tag of Rs 1,02,823 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it a rather pricey proposition. It was roughly Rs 14,000 more expensive than the Race XP, even though the XT came with the engine in its milder state of tune churning out 9.38hp and 10.5Nm, compared to the Race XP’s putting out 10.2hp and 10.8Nm.
The XT is not nearly Rs 6,000 cheaper at Rs 97,061 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The fact that the price tag is now just under Rs 1 lakh will, perhaps, attract some potential buyers who might have been put off earlier by the rather high price point.
Justifying its position at the top of the NTorq food chain, the XT comes loaded with features. The TFT display is exclusive to this variant and performs a lot of functions on top of what the LCD unit offers on the lower versions. It can show weather details and AQI indexes, track your food deliveries, show you your favourite sporting event’s scores as well as display your social media notifications. The TFT screen also shows the caller’s profile image when displaying calls. Another feature that is exclusive to the XT variant is the company’s IntelliGo stop-start system.
The XT continues to come in the neon yellow and blue colour scheme with the 12-inch alloys carrying a different design to the lower versions. Braking duties continue to be carried out by a 220mm single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
