Apart from Agastya Nanda, Zoya Akhtar’s directorial also marks the acting debuts of Suhana Khan and Kushi Kapoor.
On Tuesday, December 5, a big event unfolded in Mumbai! Agastya Nanda, the grandson of the iconic Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son of Shweta Bachchan, stepped into the spotlight in the film industry, marking his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. The anticipation surrounding this debut reached a crescendo as a special pre-release screening was put together with Bollywood’s who’s who in attendance. The Bachchan family, rarely seen together at such events, given their schedules, graced the occasion with their presence, turning it into a truly extraordinary affair.
The star-studded attendance included Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya, Navya Nanda, along with Navya’s parents Nikhil Nanda and Shweta Bachchan. The red carpet witnessed a spectacular family moment as they all posed together. It’s worth noting that, apart from Navya and Jaya Bachchan, the family opted for black. Navya, in contrast, chose a striking red gown, while Jaya looked resplendent in an off-white ensemble, looking every bit the proud grandmother at the star-studded evening. Aishwarya stood out in a stunning blazer dress, while Abhishek was dapper in a black suit. Check out the video here:
Navya Nanda has been cheering for her brother as the day for his acting debut is approaching. Recently, she shared a throwback video revealing how her brother Agastya was always ready to ‘Rock N Roll’. In his adorable childhood video, Agastya was seen mimicking while playing a toy guitar. Before the red carpet event, Navya took to social media to share a photo of Agastya, all set to debut. She posted a black and white photo of Agastya, with her patting his back. She captioned it, “Lights… Camera… & it’s SHOWTIME!!!!!”
Zoya Akhtar’s directorial also marks the acting debuts of Suhana Khan and Kushi Kapoor. It also stars Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda in key roles. The Indian adaptation of the beloved comics will be released on Netflix on December 7.
