Tej Kapoor joins IvyCap Ventures as managing partner


Homegrown alumni-based venture capital firm IvyCap Ventures has onboarded Tej Kapoor as its managing partner. At IvyCap, Kapoor will be driving the next phase of growth and investing in various sectors including fintech, consumer tech, Web 3.0, gaming and more. He will be also involved in the strategic thinking and global expansion of Ivy Cap.


Kapoor has over 15 years of experience in the VC industry. He invested in several businesses in ecommerce, logistics, content, media, internet and business-tobusiness (B2B) information industries. His work experience spans various geographies including the USA, India, China and UK.

Vikram Gupta, founder and managing partner, IvyCap Ventures, said in a statement, “Tej brings with him deep experience of leading investments in B2B and B2C businesses. His knowledge, global perspective and ability to help founders scale business will help in strengthening the IvyCap Ventures portfolio, thereby adding unprecedented value to the entire ecosystem.”

Previously, Kapoor was Global partner at Fosun and Head of Fosun RZ Capital India and South East Asia. In previous stints, he has been with Daily Mail Group of London, Naspers India and AOL in the US.

Talking about his new role, Kapoor said, “Given my experience and track record, I wish to bring my knowledge, global perspective and ability to help IvyCap scale their business.”

Kapoor holds a Master’s degree in Business management from Johnson & Wales University and Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bangalore University. He also did executive education from Wharton Business School.
