The Employee Provident Fund Act of 1952 mandated the Employee Provident Fund, a government-mandated plan in which both you and your employer contribute a predetermined monthly amount.
Your Universal Account Number (UAN) identifies your consolidated EPF account, whereas your PF account changes when you switch jobs.
After retirement, employees of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) are able to access their Provident Fund (PF) balance online, or they can access a portion of their savings in the event of a financial emergency.
Using the UMANG app, you can withdraw PF online in the following order:
Step 1: Download the UMANG app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Step 2: Open the app and select the new user option.
Step 3: Register yourself on the UMANG application by adhering to the directions, for example, setting up the MPIN utilizing OTP (Once Secret word)
Step 4: After completing registration, access the app and select the “All Services” option. Step 5: Select the Raise Claim option by clicking on “EPFO.”
Step 6: Submit your EPF UAN number to create the OTP.
Step 5: Before filling out the form, submit the OTP that was sent to your registered mobile number and select the type of withdrawal.
Step 8: Now, send the form in.
