Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully in her sleep at her estate in Scotland’s Balmoral on September 8. As per a statement from Buckingham Palace, she died in the afternoon yesterday. Actress Claire Foy’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in the web series The Crown is termed one of the best till today. She won an Emmy Award for her memorable performance as a much younger version of the Queen. Her role showcased the monarch’s early years of ruling the UK, her nascent marriage to Prince Philip and the birth of her four children.
