Prabhas-starrer Salaar’s Release Date Postponed To April 2024? –

An official announcement regarding the delay is expected soon.

The makers have reportedly decided to push the release date due to several factors.

Prabhas became a pan-India star by essaying the role of the protagonist in the Baahubali franchise. Has not been able to secure a single hit since then. Now, he has pinned all his hopes on his upcoming film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel. Salaar has been delayed for a long time. There were reports that it might be released in November 2023.

Now, according to the latest reports, the film has been delayed even further and it might be released in the last week of April 2024. Reportedly, Prabhas has gone abroad for the treatment of his knee injury. Some of the production work related to Salaar is left. Due to these, the makers have decided to push the release date from November 2023 to April 2024. Reportedly, an official announcement regarding the postponement is expected soon.

Earlier, there were reports that Salaar might be released in September 2023. According to the reports, Prabhas wanted to do his own dubbing for the Hindi version; this is why the release date was postponed further.

In last year’s superhit film RRR, Ram Charan and Jr NTR were dubbed for all the languages, except for Malayalam. Reportedly, Prabhas has sought inspiration from this, and intended to do the dubbing for the Hindi version of Salaar on his own. Another reason that was speculated behind Salaar’s delay is the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan on September 7. According to the reports, the makers wanted a safe margin of gap, between Salaar and Jawan. Makers have not officially confirmed either of the reasons.

Salaar also features actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and Tinnu Anand.

All three films of Prabhas, post the Baahubali franchise, including Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, turned out to be unsuccessful ventures. His last film Adipurush received scathing criticism for its poor VFX, obscene dialogues, and other aspects.
