The actor has completed a hat-trick for the films to enter the elite club of Rs 100 crore after his previous mega-hits of Akhanda and Veer Simha Reddy.
Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna recently greeted his fans with his movie Bhagavanth Kesari on the occasion of Dussehra this year. The film gained positive reviews from the audience and critics after its release. It was directed by Anil Ravipudi and was produced under the banner of Shine Screens. Apart from Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, actress Sreeleela and Kajala Aggarwal played prominent roles in the film. It was the Telugu film debut for Arjun Rampal.
The film dominated the Telugu box office during the first weekend even after facing a clash from the movie Leo and Tiger Nageswara Rao. Six days after its release, the movie created several records and so did the superstar of the Telugu movie, Nandamuri Balakrishna.
As per reports, Bhagavanth Kesari has now entered the Rs 100 crore club in terms of worldwide collection at the box office. With this actor, the actor has completed a hat-trick for the films to enter the elite club of Rs 100 crore after his mega hits of Akhanda and Veer Simha Reddy. Both movies have also grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office. Bhagavanth Kesari has also collected over $1 million in the US after its release.
Nandamuri Balakrishna has now become the only veteran actor in South cinema with three consecutive films in the prestigious USA million-dollar club.
Nandamuri Balakrishna started the year with his superhit film, Veer Simha Reddy which grossed Rs 104 crore worldwide. It was written and directed by Gopichand Malineni and was produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. He played the double role in the movie while actress Honey Rose helmed the character of the lead heroine in the movie. The music of the film was composed by S Thaman.
Bhagavanth Kesari has now concluded the run of actor for this year. He worked in two films and both collected over Rs 100 crore at the box office. The OTT rights for the movie Bhagavanth Kesari have been bagged by the leading OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. It will be available on the website after 50 days of the theatrical release.
