Meet Rajeev Deshmukh, The Man Who Has Built A Temple For His Idol Lata Mangeshkar –

Lata Mangeshkar was one of the iconic singers of our country. She was known for her melodious voice and was awarded many accolades throughout her career. Almost everyone in the country is mesmerised by her voice. Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, 2022, due to age-related issues. Throughout her career, she has garnered a lot of love from the audience. Many people used to travel from far-off places to attend her shows, just to get a glimpse of Lata Mangeshkar. One such fan is Rajeev Deshmukh. It has been reported that the man has even built a temple at his home after Lata Mangeshkar’s death. Rajeev Deshmukh has given her the status of a goddess and worships her daily.

According to reports, Rajeev Deshmukh has built the temple on Lata Mangeshkar’s first death anniversary. Inside the temple, there’s an idol of Lata Mangeshkar. Rajeev and his family worship the idol daily. They have put garlands around the idol, and even play an aarti that Rajeev has recorded in his own voice.

Rajeev is among the biggest fans of Lata Mangeshkar. In an interview, he shared an anecdote where he talked about his love for the late singer. He revealed that he was in 7th grade when he ran away from home to meet Lata Mangeshkar in Mumbai. After the police found that he was alone, they took him back to his home. In 1982, Rajeev Deshmukh again went to Mumbai to meet her; at that time, she had gone abroad for one of her shows. Finally, he was able to meet her in 1987 in Pune. He added that he felt his dream had come true.

Rajeev’s wife, Shubhangi, revealed that Lata Mangeshkar has been like a goddess to them, and they have a lot of respect for her. They have kept the picture in the main hall, so that everyone can see it.
