Turbo movie is penned by Midhun Manuel Thomas and is the fifth production venture of Mammootty’s production banner. The director also shared a post on Facebook as the shoot of the movie kickstarted.

There were a few reports which claimed that the upcoming movie, Turbo is a sequel of Mammootty’s 1990 action movie titled Kottayam Kunjachan. However, in an interview, the actor refuted the claims.
