Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol Ready for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2 But There's One Problem –

Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol are interested to reunite for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2, Zoya Akhtar has confirmed. Zoya had helmed the film back in 2011 and it emerged as one of the biggest films of the year. ZNMD continues to have a cult following, with many hoping that the cast reunites for a sequel. Zoya admitted that even the cast has had discussions about it but the team doesn’t want to dive into a sequel until they have a good script in place.

Speaking with ANI, Zoya said, “Yes, this (ZNMD 2 discussions) comes up all the time, and everybody is interested.” She added, “That movie meant a lot to us. So, if we find that soul for part two, we will make it. We don’t want to do it just for money. When the audience comes to watch the second part, they will have a certain expectation, and we must give it to them; otherwise, they won’t be happy.”

A few months ago, Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay had sparked rumours that they are reuniting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel. In October, Farhan dropped a photo with a nod to Zindagi Naa Milega Dobara. This led to everyone believing that a sequel was coming our way. However, Abhay clarified that it was a joke and the sequel is not in the making.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara revolved around three friends on a road trip and performing daring activities picked by each friend. This included participating in the Tomatina festival, skydiving, scuba diving and taking part in the running of the bulls. The film was a massive hit. The film also starred Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.

Over a decade after the film’s release, Farhan has announced he is developing a travel film revolving three main leads. Farhan in 2021 announced that he is going to turn director with the film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. The film’s poster has teased that it will be another road trip movie. The filming details are yet to be revealed.
