Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor haven’t revealed the face of their daughter Raha.
Alia Bhatt discussed motherhood and her daughter Raha Kapoor at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. During a conversation, she shared her decision to seek professional assistance in caring for Raha and explained her choice to keep her daughter’s face private from the public.
Alia explained that she and Ranbir Kapoor are protecting their daughter, Raha, from the media spotlight. She clarified that it’s not about hiding her, but rather, they’re new parents and are cautious about sharing her face online at such a young age. “I don’t want it to seem like I am hiding my daughter. I am proud of her. If the cameras were not rolling right now, I would put a giant image of her on the screen. I love her. I am proud of our baby. But we are new parents. We don’t know how we feel about her face splashed out all over the internet, she’s barely a year old,” she said.
However, Alia assured everyone that they plan to reveal Raha’s face once they are at ease with the idea. She and Ranbir have an arrangement with the paparazzi not to capture pictures of Raha, who was born in November last year. This decision was influenced by the intense scrutiny faced by Ranbir’s nephew, Taimur Ali Khan (son of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan), right from the day he was born in 2016.
Alia shared that she gets help from a nanny to take care of her daughter, Raha, while managing her busy acting career. She said that she appreciates having professional assistance when needed, understanding how challenging it can be for working parents who don’t have that support.
Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. On the other hand, Ranbir will star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal, slated for release next month.
