The platform, which is part of Zoho Corporation, also anticipates India and the Middle East to be its two key markets in future. The platform recently launched the latest version of its offering to help users easily build scalable low-code solutions, including apps, integrations, analytics, and process automation.
“In India, we are seeing significant growth,” Bharath Kumar B, head of marketing and customer experience, Zoho Creator told ET.
The India market has grown 50% in 2020 and 100% in 2021. The Middle East, too, has grown by 60-70% in both years, Kumar said. “So, these two markets will be key growth markets for us,” he said.
The bulk of low-code application development, from customization to automation, can be handled by users with moderate technical knowledge. Its recent update would also equip IT stakeholders with deeper controls around governance and management, he added.
“The platform allows IT and business users to work in tandem to create and deploy apps that are highly customizable and are built to auto-scale, to suit the business needs. This allows organizations to focus on solving business problems and pursue new opportunities,” Kumar said.

Zoho Creator is one of the few products in the Zoho ecosystem that sees a 2x upgrade revenue rather than new revenue, he said.
The company is now aggressively betting on ‘fusion teams’ that will bring both the IT and the non-IT developers together and allow them to adopt local platforms for their organizations, he added.
“Around 75% of our users will be citizen developers or non-IT folks,” Kumar said. “And 20-25% of the users could be IT people. We want to become partners with IT folks and then along with them empower the business teams inside the organization.”
The company is looking at about 50% revenue growth year-on-year and is banking on product capabilities, improvements in every aspect and a focus on fusion teams, he said.
