In a heartwarming viral video from the bash, Zaheer is seen cutting his birthday cake while Sonakshi and her mother clap. He later feeds the cake to both Sonakshi and his father, Iqbal Ratansi, marking a sweet family moment.
Sonakshi kept her look casual yet stylish, opting for a pastel pink embroidered kurta paired with a blue denim jacket, while Zaheer chose a more laid-back look with a white t-shirt, olive green pants, and a black hoodie.
The couple, who tied the knot in June this year, also celebrated their love on Instagram. Sonakshi, in her birthday post for Zaheer, shared a series of adorable pictures of the two together. One of the photos showed them smiling at the camera, with Sonakshi resting her head on Zaheer’s shoulder, while another captured her planting a kiss on his cheek and giving him a big hug. Along with the pictures, Sonakshi wrote a heartfelt caption, “After your mom, I’m the happiest you were born! Even happier that I married you 😂😘 Happy Birthday best boy – I love you.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer, who starred together in Double XL co-produced by Huma Qureshi, have known each other for years. Zaheer, the son of businessman Iqbal Ratansi, made his debut in Bollywood with Notebook, which was produced by Salman Khan. The couple’s relationship blossomed over seven years before they finally got married on June 23, 2024, which also marked the anniversary of their first meeting. Their wedding celebration included a grand reception at Mumbai’s Bastian restaurant on the same day. Sharing their wedding joy on Instagram, they wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017), in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it.”
