Yamaha increases prices of its two-wheelers

The Yamaha Aerox 155 and FZ-Fi have received the highest price hike.

Yamaha India has increased the prices of its two-wheeler range – by a little – with the hike ranging from Rs 800 to Rs 1,800, depending on the model.

To begin with, Yamaha’s flagship scooter, the Aerox 155, is now Rs 1,800 more expensive at Rs 1.37 lakh. The other Yamaha product to receive a similar price hike of Rs 1,800 is the popular FZ-Fi. The motorcycle is now priced at Rs 1.11 lakh.

Other FZ motorcycles also see a jump in prices. The FZ-X, Yamaha’s neo-retro iteration of the FZ, is now Rs 1,600, priced at Rs 1.30 lakh. The FZS and FZ25 get a Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,300 hike, respectively.

The Yamaha YZF-R15 gets a marginal Rs 600 bump in its price, while its street naked cousin, the MT-15, is spared a hike and continues to sell at Rs 1.60 lakh.

Moving on to the scooters, the Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 have received price hikes of Rs 800 and Rs 1,000, respectively; the latter being for the disc brake-equipped variants.

While the prices have risen, none of these two-wheelers received any kind of cosmetic and mechanical updates.

Of late, other manufacturers such as Bajaj Auto and Royal Enfield have increased the prices of their two-wheelers, given the current market and economic conditions.
