Xiaomi introduces Mi Notebook Pro X with 3.5K OLED display, 35W Intel CPU

Xiaomi announced its latest premium notebook offering, the Mi Notebook X Pro in China and it packs some impressive specs.

In addition to the latest generation hardware from Intel and Nvidia, the device also flaunts a 15.6-inch 3.5K (3456 x 2160px) OLED display with going up to 600 nits peak brightness, offers Gorilla Glass protection and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

The display is surrounded by thin 4.03mm thin bezels and Xiaomi says it achieves 91% screen-to-body ratio. On the inside you get 11th Generation Intel Core i7 or Core i5 CPUs. Configurations go up to Core i7-11370H, which is a powerful 35W quad-core (8 threads) chip based on the 10nm SuperFin node.

For graphically-intensive tasks, configurations go up to Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The laptop can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD.

The keyboard is backlit with 1.5mm key travel and the whole laptop weighs 1.9kg but manages to keep the thickness up to 18.47mm in its thickest point.

Two Harmon Kardon-tuned 2W stereo speakers with DTS Audio tie the whole multimedia experience together. And last, but not least, you get a generous 80Wh battery supporting 130W fast charging over the USB-C connector (50% in just 25 minutes).

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro X is currently available only in Space Gray and it starts at CNY 7,999 ($1,240) for the Core i5/16GB RAM/512GB SSD version. The beefier Core i7/32GB RAM/1TB SSD units cost CNY 9,999 ($1,550). It’s already available to order but will go on sale in July 9 in China. As of now, no plans about international availability have been disclosed.
