Xiaomi 14 Series With HyperOS, Leica-Tuned Cameras to Debut on This Date

Xiaomi 14 series will be launched next week, Xiaomi confirmed via a Weibo post on Monday (October 23). The Chinese brand’s upcoming operating system is also set to debut on the new lineup. While the company has only mentioned the Xiaomi 14 series, we can expect it to include the normal Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, successors to the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, respectively. The upcoming flagship smartphones are teased to flaunt Leica-tuned rear camera units. The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to be powered by an unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The Xiaomi 14 series will be unveiled on October 26. The launch event will begin in China, at 19:00pm (4:30pm IST), as per a teaser poster shared by the company on Weibo. The lineup will come with HyperOS and a new camera system, co-engineered with Leica.

Xiaomi’s 14 series will be the first phone to run the HyperOS operating system and the new skin will gradually replace MIUI. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to debut as successors to last year’s Xiaomi 13 series.

As per past leaks, the regular Xiaomi 14 will feature a 6.44-inch Huaxing C8 OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model could pack a 6.6-inch flat AMOLED 2.5D display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Both models are said to run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm is expected to announce the next-generation flagship chipset at the Snapdragon Summit this week.

The Xiaomi 14 series is said to come with a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 50-megapixel OV50H main camera with OIS. Xiaomi is expected to pack a 4,600mAh battery on the upcoming Xiaomi 14 with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to house a 4,860mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
