Apple will conduct its 34th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) between June 5- June 9 this year. The event will be held in person at Apple Park in Cupertino, California and can also be streamed through Apple’s official Youtube channel, Apple TV, and Apple’s website along with the developer website and app.
Apple fans are expecting tons of new announcements from the company including the launch of its newer versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS.
Here are some expected announcements from WWDC 2023:
Mixed reality headset:
Apple’s rumoured virtual and augmented reality headset is expected to debut at this year’s developer conference. The mixed reality headset is expected to be named ‘Reality Pro’ and could be priced at around $3,000 ( ₹2.48 lakh). The headset is expected to come with a control knob to switch between virtual reality and augmented reality.
The Reality Pro could be powered by a chipset with a processor similar to Apple’s M2 chipset and could sport a dozen or so cameras to detect body movements and read facial expressions.
iOS 17:
Apple is expected to announce iOS 17 at WWDC 2023. The operating system is expected to bring a ton of changes and new features. If rumours are to be believed, Apple will bring a new journalling app, add a Mood Tracker to the health app, a revamped Control Center, increase functionality for Dynamic Island and new features for Apple Music.
Apple is also expected to finally add the ability to sideload apps on iPhones and iPads owing to regulatory pressure in Europe.
MacBook Air:
For the first time, Apple could announce a 15-inch version of its Macbook Air series. According to Bloomberg, the Macbook Air 15-inch could come with the M2 chipset and the same display that was used in the 14-inch MacBook Pro. The Cupertino-based company could also unveil a 13-inch Macbook Pro and Macbook Air along with a 24-inch iMac.
iPadOS17, macOS17, watchOS 10 and more:
Apple is expected to announce iPadOS 17, macOS17, tvOS and watchOS 10. However, the exact changes coming to these operating systems isn’t clear yet. A Bloomberg report claims that watchOS 10 could come with a new widget system which would allow users to check notifications without opening the app.
