WWDC 2023: Apple introduces a 25 songs music playlist, as the conference kicks off next Monday

Apple has been generating excitement for WWDC 2023 through fresh social media campaigns as the conference approaches its opening on Monday, featuring a highly anticipated keynote presentation. To further engage users in the event leading up to the keynote, Apple has curated an Apple Music playlist, reported 9TO5Mac. However, the company has also been teasing the start of “a new era” on Monday.

As per the report by 9TO5Mac, Apple Music subscribers can now access the “WWDC23 Power Up” playlist comprising 25 songs. The playlist features popular tracks such as Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” Dua Lipa’s recently released “Dance The Night,” Ed Sheeran’s “Eyes Closed,” and the Jonas Brothers’ “Summer Baby.” According to Apple, this curated collection aims to assist developers in commencing both WWDC and the summer season with the most prominent artists of the moment.

Apple has announced the release of the playlist through an official tweet, promoting the upcoming keynote on Monday. Individuals who show their appreciation for the tweet will receive a notification reminding them to tune in to the online event on June 5. Additionally, Apple will express gratitude by tweeting a thank-you message accompanied by a link to the Apple Music playlist.

In another development, the recent tweet from Apple hints at the commencement of a “new era” on Monday. Adding to the intrigue, the company modified the WWDC webpage with the slogan “code new worlds,” and in another tweet, Apple alluded to a countdown leading up to the significant day. These references may potentially be related to the anticipated unveiling of Apple’s mixed reality headset, rumored to be named Apple Reality Pro, during the event.

In a cryptic message to developers, Apple wrote, ‘Code new worlds’. The message is being seen as a signal to developers to code their apps for a whole new operating system.

According to reports, Apple will also officially announce its virtual and augmented reality headset called Reality Pro. The headset is expected to be a standalone device with its own app store called xrOS or extended reality OS.

Apple has also released its annual “AR Experience” easter egg ahead of the WWDC keynote. According to MacRumors, the AR experience shows a bubble in the shape of the Apple logo, spinning gracefully clockwise, with the date 5 June 2023 elegantly displayed in the centre.
