Rahul eclipsed his captain Rohit who was the previous fastest Indian batter to notch a hundred in World Cup history in just 63 balls against Afghanistan earlier last month.
A happy and proud Athiya Shetty, took to Instagram to share a photo of hubby KL Rahul after the knock and wrote, “This boy!!!!” She added a red heart emoji and an evil eye emoji. Meanwhile, her brother and KL Rahul’s brother-in-law Ahan Shetty, too, posted on Instagram. Sharing photos of KL from the match, he wrote, “Happy Diwali from me and mine”.
Last month, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul helped India win a match against Australia. KL Rahul hit the winning six of the match and scored 97 runs not out. After his stellar performance, wife Athiya Shetty had taken to social media to express her joy.
