Park Seo Joon reassured fans that he had met and spoken to V before his enlistment. He mentioned that V was fine and would be back safe and sound in no time.
The ARMY community experienced a poignant moment as all members of BTS embarked on their military enlistment to fulfill mandatory service in the South Korean Army. BTS’s V bid farewell alongside leader RM on December 11, followed by Jungkook and Jimin the next day. Before going away, V met his Wooga Squad, comprising Choi Woo Shik, Park Seo Joon, Peakboy, and ZE:A’s Park Hyung Sik. As the friends’ group had joined to say goodbye to their youngest member, it turned out to be a very heartfelt moment.
Meanwhile, there is a piece of good news for those worried about V. Now, Wooga member Park Seo Joon has offered another update on V’s enlistment.
During a recent live broadcast, South Korean producer and director, Na Yeong-seok aka Na PD noticed an influx of purple heart emojis in the comment section. The ARMY might be aware that fans associate the purple-coloured heart emoticon with BTS’ V. During a 2016 fan club event, Taehyung aka V explained that the colour purple was a hue of love. “Purple means I will trust and love you for a long time. I just made it up,” V had explained.
Seeing the comment section filled with purple hearts, Na PD inquired about V’s well-being. “Is everything alright with our Taehyung? Did he get there OK? I’m asking because I see a lot of purple hearts in chat, and I assume many fans who miss Taehyung are watching now. Did he get there without any trouble,” he asked
Park Seo Joon, who was also present there, reassured fans and disclosed that he had spoken to V before his enlistment. “Yeah, I saw him before he left, and we even talked on the phone before the enlistment. He said he’ll be back safe and sound in no time. His voice sounded bright and cheery, so I thought he would fit right in. He’s such a social person, so I’m sure he’s going to get along with everyone right away,” Joon said.

As V embarks on his second day in the military, Park Seo Joon, reflecting on his enlistment, shares insights into what V might be experiencing. The hosts speculated on V’s current activities, from dinner and cleaning shared spaces to receiving training attire and undergoing a physical examination. Amidst the anecdotes, Park Seo Joon expressed confidence in V’s ability to navigate the challenges ahead.
Notably, Na PD and Park Seo Joon had previously organised a pre-birthday celebration for V, recognising that he would be in service during his birthday this year.
