I want an SUV with high stability, safety and good fuel efficiency within a budget of Rs 23 lakh. I test drove the Hyundai Alcazar Signature 2.0 petrol and Jeep Compass 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. Which car is better?

Autocar India says: The Compass is a tougher vehicle than the Alcazar with phenomenal stability, which makes it nicer to drive as well. The Alcazar is more spacious and comfortable and has a softer suspension set-up. If you drive long distances, mainly over bad roads, the Compass is the better choice. But for city use, the Alcazar is more user-friendly. The Alcazar is also marginally more fuel efficient than the Compass, but the deciding factor should be the kind of usage you will have.
