When asked if she sought marriage advice from sister, actress Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya responded, “Who was going to take that advice? No. Everybody tried, but I didn’t listen. By then, I had come to a point where I didn’t want to listen to anybody. I had quite made up my mind.”
Supriya Pathak reflected on her late mother’s persistent concerns about Pankaj Kapur leaving, even after having two children. Despite her mother’s worries, Supriya remained steadfast, assuring that she would manage. Supriya mentioned that while her mother wasn’t much of a support, Ratna eventually came around. Ratna added, “She was also obviously happy, so what’s the point.”
