Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra needs no introduction. He is one of the most successful actors in the industry. He has an illustrious career spanning over six decades. The actor made his debut in 1960 with the film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, and since then he has never looked back. As per reports, Dharmendra has worked in more than 300 movies and has built an empire of Rs 335 crore. Apart from this, he has ventured into the culinary and hospitality business as well. He ventured into the restaurant business with Garam Dharam Dhaba, in 2022. Dharmendra opened another restaurant named He-Man on the Karnal Highway. As per reports, Dharmendra owns a few properties, worth over Rs 17 crore in Maharashtra; he’s also invested in agricultural and non-agricultural lands worth over Rs 88 lakh and Rs 52 lakh respectively, in the state. According to a 2015 Economic Times report, Dharmendra has partnered with a chain of restaurants to build a 30-bedroom resort on a 12-acre plot, close to his farmhouse in Lonavala.
Recent reports suggest that Dharmendra charges around Rs 5 crore per film, and his annual income is said to be more than Rs 12 crore.
Dharmendra has appeared in many successful films like Seeta Aur Geeta, Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam, Sholay and Dream Girl. This year, he has worked on two back-to-back movies. He was first seen in the romantic comedy-family drama film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. It was directed by Karan Johar and also featured Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the main lead roles, along with Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Churni Ganguly in the supporting roles. The movie was a huge hit and also became the sixth-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
Next, he was also seen in director Basith Ahmed Khan’s scientific drama film, Love Nation.
He will reportedly reunite with his sons, actors Bobby and Sunny Deol, soon on the silver screen for a sequel to Apne.
