The presence of a cigar, cash bundles and a revolver on the table points at the crime backdrop of the film.
Actor Varun Tej Konidela is gearing up to impress audiences with his upcoming action-packed film Matka, written and directed by Karuna Kumar. Varun recently revealed the film’s first look on Twitter, where he appears in a black suit, paired with a white shirt and a crimson tie. Interestingly, his reflection on the table shows him in a simple shirt, possibly hinting at a rags-to-riches journey within the film. The 34-year-old actor, exuding intensity as he gazes into the camera, captioned the image: “From the depths of poverty to the pinnacle of power, Destined to dominate. In his world, every move is a gamble.” The presence of a cigar, cash bundles, and a revolver on the table suggests a crime-laden backdrop for the story. Reports indicate that Varun will portray four distinct roles in Matka.
According to the reports, the shooting for Varun Tej’s Matka commenced in 2023. The film’s pooja ceremony took place in Visakhapatnam. Producer Allu Aravind attended the occasion and initiated the muhurat scene with the customary clap. Matka will reportedly be based on real-life events that took place in the backdrop of Visakhapatnam during the 1960s and 70s, promising an interesting narrative. Meenaakshi Chaudhary will be portraying the female lead in Matka while Nora Fatehi will be taking on another important role. The rest of the cast includes the actors Naveen Chandra, Kishore Kumar G, Ajay Ghosh, Vijaya Ramaraju and others. Vyra Entertainments has backed this film, currently in the production stage.
