Kiara Advani to slay as a commando in Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2?

The much-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit ‘War’ promises to be an action-packed spectacle. According to a report from ‘Dainik Bhaskar’, Kiara and Hrithik have already shot their introduction scenes, with Hrithik battling Japanese antagonists at the iconic Shaolin Temple, and Kiara showcasing her combat skills in a high-octane fight scene set in a shopping mall. This thrilling scene was filmed over four days at Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai.
The report also hints at Jr NTR’s planned grand entry, which was to take place aboard a ship at Yash Raj Studios. However, due to the actor’s recent injury, the set is being dismantled, with filming expected to resume in October.
A source close to the project revealed to PinkVilla that Ayan Mukerji and producer Aditya Chopra have carefully crafted War 2’s script to stand out in the YRF Spy Universe. The film is set to be darker and grittier than its predecessors, promising an action spectacle unlike anything seen before, “Ayan Mukerji and Aditya Chopra have meticulously worked on the script of War 2 to differentiate it from all that has been done in the YRF Spy Universe till date. War 2 will be an action spectacle like never before, and as suggested by the post-credit sequence of Kabir, this one will be a little darker and gritty.”
‘War 2’ will be the sixth installment in YRF’s Spy Universe, following hits like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Tiger 3’. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is slated for release on August 14, 2025, just in time for India’s Independence Day celebrations.
