The film collected Rs 15 crore on the day of its release. Then on Saturday, the collections declined a little, earning Rs 9 crore. By the estimations of the third day, the film has earned Rs 70 crore worldwide. Since September 4, Monday, the film suffered a slight decline. On its seventh day, the film was only able to collect Rs 50 lakh. News reports say that the release of Jawan and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty could be a big reason for the film’s recent decline in the theatres. At the moment, the domestic collection of the film on its seventh day stands at Rs 41 crore.
Kushi is directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced under Mythri Movie Makers. The cast includes Vijay Devarakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sachin Khedekar, Saranaya Ponvannan, and Murali Sharma. The music in the film is being handled by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Vijay and Samantha are collaborating for the second time. They have done the film Mahanati together before.
The film is about a couple who got married without their parents’ approval and how they start facing problems in their relationship like jealousy, insecurity etc.
The star of the film Vijay Devarakonda has decided to donate Rs 1 crore from his salary that he earned from the film to 100 families in need. He revealed his decision at the success party of the film in Vishakhapatnam.
He said, “You are happy and I am happy. I am thinking of something and I don’t know if I can pull it off or whether it’s right or wrong. But if I don’t do it, I’ll be sleepless. To spread joy with you guys, I will donate Rs 1 crore with my Kushi salary to 100 families.” He stated further that he was going to give a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to each of the families in need.
