Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got married in December 2021.

Vicky Kaushal recalls taking a break from the shoot of Sam Bahadur for his wedding with Katrina Kaif.

Vicky Kaushal was filming for Sam Bahadur when he got married to Katrina Kaif. The actor was seen sporting his bearded look at the wedding as well. Speaking about his wedding in a recent interview, Vicky revealed that he took a break from shoot to get married but was asked to return to sets within two days of the wedding ceremony. When Katrina was informed about this, she gave Vicky ‘dhamki’ to ‘forget the wedding’.

“\“I have done half of the film’s shooting before my marriage and then I took off for my marriage. Right after the marriage, within two days, they were calling me on the set. Toh fir mujh dhamki mil gayi thi ki tumhe do din baad set pe hi jana hai toh shaadi rehne hi do (Then I got the threat that if you have to go to the set in two days then don’t get married). Then I said ‘no’ and I went to the sets of the film after five days,” Vicky told Pinkvilla in a new interview.

“Marriage has been really beautiful and it really is a blessing to find a companion for yourself where you truly feel like you have come back home. It’s a sukoon (peace) vala feeling. It’s a great feeling, she is a lovely human being. It is fun living and exploring life with her. I am travelling a lot with her, something I didn’t experience much before,” he added.

Sam Bahadur explores the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, emphasising his sacrifices for the nation. The film pays a heartfelt tribute to his unwavering bravery and sharp wit. For the unversed, Sam Manekshawan’s career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Sam Bahadur also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman) and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in key roles. It is set to hit theatres on December 1.
