Vicky Kaushal is basking under the success of his recently released film Bad Newz co starring Tritpii Dimri and Ammy Virk. The romantic comedy has been getting an overwhelming response from the audience. Well, today the actor penned a sweet note for his fans and thanked them for making the film a global entertainer.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Vicky shared the poster reading a global entertainer. “Grateful to each and every one of you who made this happen!!!” read the caption. As soon as he shared, fans also reacted. One of the fans wrote, ‘This was so good and funny. Simply Outstanding.” Another wrote, “I enjoyed this movie a lot. A light hearted fun flick. And, Vicky as usual you were fabulous.”

Within 2 weeks, the film has minted nearly Rs 50 Crores at the ticket window. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X handle to praise the film and wrote, “The weekend growth [58.56%] has come in… #BadNewz sees a significant upward trend on [second] Sat, bringing it closer to the ₹ 50 cr mark… This escalation in numbers is commendable given the stiff competition from the mighty #DeadpoolAndWolverine. Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.

Showsha reviewed the film with 3 stars and wrote, “Vicky gives it his all to Akhil Chaddha, who seems like an extension of Vicky Sandhu or more appropriately, a mix of Vicky Sandhu and Rocky Randhawa. He maybe impish but he’s the greenest green flag, who loves selflessly with all his heart. It’s him who single-handedly tries to elevate this middling script. His comic timing is great but he surely deserved funnier dialogues. His banter with Ammy are pure gold. A special mention goes to the scene where Akhil and Gurbir meet for the first time at a doctor’s clinic to get their paternity tests done. Their chemistry, in all honesty, is richer than the one shared by Akhil and Saloni.”
