Vaibhavi Merchant Says Choreographing For Tiger Vs Pathaan Will Be ‘Mayhem’: ‘To Combine These Energies…’ –

Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant is excited to see Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in the action film Tiger vs Pathaan. The movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, will feature the two stars in a face-off as part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe.

During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vaibhavi Merchant was asked about her enthusiasm for bringing together the energies of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Tiger vs Pathaan. She said, “I would love to combine these energies not just in the spy universe but even at my house parties! It is going to be mayhem, a colossal burst of energy and excitement. I just want to be a fly on the wall on that set, if that ever comes. Because I want to enjoy them as people and their madness.”

Vaibhavi has choreographed songs in Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Pathaan (including Besharam Rang), and Tiger 3 (featuring Leke Prabhu Ka Naam). The choreographer recalled about being an avid observer even during the making of the superhit film, Karan Arjun, which marked the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Salman.

“I had the privilege of being on the same sets with them while they were shooting a song called ‘Jai Maa Kali’ for Karan Arjun back in the days. I remember that. So, I would like to relive that definitely. It’s like cut to 30 years later,” she said.

Vaibhavi, in a recent chat with ETimes, spoke about choreographing Leke Prabhu Ka Naam from Tiger 3. She said, “I have had a lot of experience of working with both their strengths and their weaknesses. As a choreographer and as a technician it is my duty to camouflage all of that and ensure that I’ve also presented them in the best way possible. Katrina has become very easy to work with most times, and so has Salman for me. Because I know Salman won’t come rehearsed, and Katrina would come with all her preparations in place from dance steps to her looks to her jewellery.”
