Vaibhavi Merchant has revealed how Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif work on dance numbers.

Renowned choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, known for her work spanning 27 years, recently undertook the task of choreographing the music video for the song Leke Prabhu Ka Naam from the movie Tiger 3. This song features the popular duo – Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif – and has already amassed an whopping 50 million views on YouTube within just one week of its release. The responsibility for choreographing this song was placed in the capable hands of Vaibhavi Merchant by producer Aditya Chopra.

Vaibhavi, in a recent chat with ETimes, shared her approach to the project, saying that she looked at it as a responsibility rather than a source of pressure. She had a clear vision for executing the song, and while there was always the expectation to deliver an exceptional performance, her primary focus was on what would serve the film best. ‘Leke Prabhu Ka Naam’ features Salman and Katrina in their finest forms. When it comes to dance, one tends to feel that Katrina has no bones while Salman comes with a lot of muscle. Vaibhavi shared, “I have had a lot of experience of working with both their strengths and their weaknesses. As a choreographer and as a technician it is my duty to camouflage all of that and ensure that I’ve also presented them in the best way possible. Katrina has become very easy to work with most times, and so has Salman for me. Because I know Salman won’t come rehearsed, and Katrina would come with all her preparations in place from dance steps to her looks to her jewellery.”

She added, “With Salman there is a certain ease. His entire approach to his work is like, let’s not keep the environment very tense and stressed and let’s have a good time working on the sets. But he also understands the shooting constraints, like he would always ask how much work we have to do? Or how many shots are left? So he would pay attention to all the details, he wouldn’t just walk in like he’s Salman Khan, he’d be your team player.”
