Malayalam stars Urvashi, Bhavana, Priya Prakash Varrier, Anagha Narayanan, and Malavika Sreenath have teamed up for their upcoming film, directed by debutante Indrajith Ramesh. This yet-to-be-titled film went on floors in Kochi with a muhurat puja on the morning of October 18. Maniyanpilla Raju, Althaf Salim, Nandu, and Abhiram Radhakrishnan also comprise the star cast of this movie. Renish Abdulkhader produced this movie under the banner 23 Dreams, along with co-producer Lakshmi Prakash.

Arjun Kolangath and Paul Varghese have penned the script for this film, which is billed to be a comedy entertainer. Binendra Menon has been roped in to handle the cinematography. Lijo Paul is in charge of the editing; while Ifthi, known in the industry for composing the hit song Minni Minni, is the music director. Makers are yet to disclose the details regarding the plot of this film.

Urvashi, Bhavana, and Maniyanpilla Raju have teamed up previously as well for the film Rani: The Real Story, written and directed by Shankar Ramakrishnan. This film revolves around the story of a woman named Rani. She is accused and framed for the high-profile murder of the powerful MLA Dharmarajan.

She is, however, strongly defended by three families for whom she works, in the border town of Dharmapuram. Whether she gets acquitted or convicted at the end of the case forms the core theme of Rani: The Real Story. Maala Parvathi, Honey Rose, Indrans, Guru Somasundaram and others have also acted in this movie. Rani: The Real Story drew accolades from both the audience and the critics. Viewers appreciated Urvashi’s acting prowess, saying that she can easily play any role with finesse. The audience said further that Bhavana had limited screen time, but she also acted brilliantly. This film also drew criticism for the slow pace and predictable ending.

Bhavana has also dominated the headlines for her other film titled The Door, directed by Jaiidev. Ganesh Venkatraman, Nandu, V Jayaprakash, and others have also acted in this film. Produced by June Dreams Studio, The Door is currently in its post-production phase, and its release date is not known. In an interview with The New Indian Express, Ganesh appreciated Bhavana. He said, “I discovered she is a super fun person and also a foodie like me. We both exchanged suggestions on the best places to try local delicacies in Kodai.”
