Updated Yamaha FZ-S Fi launched: What’s new?
Yamaha has updated the FZ-S Fi engine with OBD2B and hiked its price
Yamaha has updated the FZ-S Fi for 2025, maintaining its overall design while ensuring compliance with stricter OBD2B emissions norms. A subtle update is the integration of the indicators into the tank shrouds, giving it a cleaner look. However, with this OBD2B update, the FZ-S Fi has also gained a kilo of kerb weight, and it now tips the scales at 137kg.
Yamaha has also given the FZ-S Fi two new paint options with refreshed graphics – black and grey. However, these options aren’t vastly distinct from the outgoing model.
Priced at Rs 1.35 lakh, this updated Yamaha FZ-S Fi is Rs 3,600 more expensive than the outgoing model. However, the interesting point is that the outgoing FZ-S Fi V4 DLX is still listed and on sale. This leaves prospective buyers with an option of paying an additional Rs 3,600 for the new colours and a stricter OBD2B-compliant engine or saving that amount.
The FZ-S Fi continues to be powered by the same air-cooled, single-cylinder, 149cc engine, producing 12.4hp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
