Ultraviolette F99 Factory Racing Platform at Auto Expo 2023

Ultraviolette plans to conduct a One Make Racing series this year.

Ultraviolette Automotive showcased the new F99 Factory Racing Platform at the Auto Expo 2023. The F99 electric motorcycle further pushes the recently launched F77’s performance envelope.

  1. Has a top speed of 200kph
  2. Gets a 68hp motor; 120V architecture

Ultraviolette F99: performance

To begin with, the Ultraviolette F99 features a 120 Volt architecture, up from the F77’s 60 Volt architecture. Secondly, the electric motor has been heavily reworked whilst ensuring no compromises in safety. The result is a 50kW or 68hp motor that the company claims will propel the bike to a top speed of 200kph. The company hasn’t revealed 0-60kph or 0-100kph times yet, but the F99 will obviously be quicker than the Ultraviolette F77 Recon (0-60kph in 3.1s and 0-100kph in 8s) on those parameters.

Besides the faster motor, the F99 also features a number of changes over the Ultraviolette F77 to make it a focused race machine. These include a more committed riding position, adjustable rear-set foot pegs to tweak riding ergonomics and a slimmer and a stiffer seat. The bike’s body panels are made of carbon fiber, to help reduce weight, while the winglets on the body work have been added to improve aerodynamics.

Other changes include a tweaked braking system, with a Brembo master cylinder and Pirelli Supercorsa tyres that will offer more grip than the F77, especially on the racetrack.

Ultraviolette F99: One Make Racing series

Ultraviolette hasn’t revealed any further details about the bike, but says there are plans to conduct a One Make Racing series this year. That shall give riders a chance to experience what it is like to race on a high performance electric motorcycle.
