The newly renamed PETRONAS TVS Racing team will compete in road racing, supercross and rally racing formats in the domestic circuit.
TVS has struck a partnership with Malaysian oil and gas giant PETRONAS for its racing operation, resulting in the newly rebranded PETRONAS TVS Racing team. They are set to take part in the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC), Indian National Supercross Championship (INSC) and Indian National Rally Championship (INRC).
The team revealed its new liveries for all three today, which combines the traditional dark blue colour of the TVS with PETRONAS’ signature turquoise shade, creating a good looking end product. The liveries will extend to TVS’ One Make Championship race bikes as well. The team will also use PETRONAS Sprinta engine oil in all its race machines, and the two companies have also rolled out a co-branded engine oil – PETRONAS TVS TRU4 RacePro – which will go on sale on May 1, 2022.
PETRONAS has a strong motorsport history – having been the title sponsors for a MotoGP team – and are currently backing the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team.
