Both these options are made-in-India and are also priced well under the Rs 3 lakh mark.
I want to buy a new bike. I’ve been using the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and I want something more powerful. I’m a heavy rider(my weight is a bit heavy) and I ride with a pillion. I am 5ft 10 inch tall, so buying a bike that suits my height was always a problem for me. I want to buy a bike below 3 lakhs of onroad price. I want a compact, tall, and powerful bike. It would be a great help if someone can help me find my new bike. Thank you.

Autocar India says: The tall and powerful bikes we’d like to recommend for your needs are things like the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 or the KTM 390 Adventure. Unfortunately, those bikes cost between Rs 3 and 4 lakh on road. You could consider the Triumph Scrambler 400X at a slight extension of your budget.
Within your budget, the best option would probably be the Bajaj Dominar 400. You will fit on it comfortably, it’s a powerful machine and pillion comfort is good as well. Another similar option is the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z which will give you solid performance, but with a sportier nature and a big price saving.
Since you are currently riding a torquey air cooled motorcycle you may not like the feel and power delivery of a liquid-cooled engine. If that is the case then the new Harley-Davidson X440 or the Hero Mavrick might be what you are looking for. However, the performance jump from your Scram will be much smaller than the other bikes we’ve suggested.
