Actress Trisha Krishnan is set to make a return to Telugu cinema.
Actress Trisha Krishnan is set to make a return to Telugu cinema, as per a Pinkvilla report. She is set to feature in not one but two Telugu projects, featuring Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna in leading roles. Although her filmography currently lists only one Tamil project, sources indicate that she has given her approval to star in two Telugu films. Trisha was initially part of Koratala Siva’s Acharya with Chiranjeevi but reportedly left the project due to creative differences. Now, she has agreed to collaborate with the Tollywood star once again for Vasishta’s upcoming film titled Vishwambara.
Following Naa Saami Ranga, Nagarjuna is set to return to his forte – on-screen romance. Directed by KE Gnanavel Raja, the film, titled Love, Action, Romance, is shrouded in secrecy regarding its details. However, there is speculation that Trisha has given her approval to be part of this project as well. “The film will go on-floors sometime next year,” a source told HT. An official announcement is yet to be made.
Trisha appeared in three projects this year: Ponniyin Selvan 2, The Road and Leo. In Ponniyin Selvan 2, she reprised her role as Kundavai, receiving positive responses from both critics and the audience. In The Road, Trisha portrayed Meera, a woman on a quest to uncover the true cause of a family tragedy. However, the film received a mixed response from critics and viewers alike.
In Leo, Trisha took on the role of Sathya, a woman whose husband is mistakenly identified as someone else. Her commendable performance in the movie has paved the way for her return to Telugu cinema. That apart, Trisha is set to share the screen with Ajith for the fifth time in Vidaamuyarchi, following their collaborations in Ji, Kireedam, Mankatha, and Yennai Arindhaal. The movie will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander, with Nirav Shah serving as the cinematographer.
