Popular actresses Trisha Krishnan and Nayanthara were known to have a strong bond and friendship. Both actresses have been ruling the hearts of the fans for more than 20 years now. Both have a massive fanbase globally. However, some old reports suggest that the duo was not on talking terms. This was supposedly due to so professional reasons that the actresses decided to part ways.
According to an old report from 2008, Trisha and Nayanthara had a clash with each other over the Tamil film Kuruvi. As per a report by the Times of India, both the actress were initially considered for the role of Devi in the film. Eventually, Trisha was chosen for the role. Despite this news of professional dispute being shared widely, Trisha denied these rumours in an interview with India Herald. Several media reports suggested that both actresses did not speak with each other for several years.
Recently, Trisha decided to respond to the speculation about her and Nayanthara’s relationship. In the interview, she mentioned that most of the speculations were made up and there was no such issue between them. She agreed that though they had some tussle it was not regarding professional life. She said, “Nayad has more than 10 years of experience in the field of acting. Our problems were mostly made up by the media. We never fought. Yeah we had some minor falling out over shared acquaintances and personal issues.”
On the other hand, Nayanthara also commented on her relationship with Trisha. She mentioned that their long-term separation was caused by some misconceptions. While talking to the media, the actress appreciated Trisha for making the effort to solve the issues they had to date and mend the relationship between them. “There were some misunderstandings that affected our relationship. What more could I want for when she took the time to reach out to me? That’s extremely appreciated,” Nayanthara said.
