Travelling will become dearer this summer, tourists may have to pay up to 50 per cent more their trips. 

This summer, traveling will become more expensive, and you may have to spend more on food, lodging, and flight tickets. According to information provided by travel agents, tourists may be required to pay up to 50% more for their trips, according to Zee Business.

Shimla, Manali, Leh, or Goa: In addition to hill stations, beach vacations will become more expensive.


Expenses are expected to rise across the board, whether it’s for food, lodging, or a flight. Flight tickets will cost more than 50% more than they did last year, and lodging and accommodations will cost 30% more.

According to those in the know, the majority of airlines have sold 70% of their inventory, and the prices of the remaining tickets may increase from now on.

Due to the increase in the cost of gasoline over the previous year, the taxi fare may also increase.

Regarding international destinations, airfare to Europe and the United States is already prohibitively expensive.

While the return flight ticket from Europe was between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000 in the earlier year. The prices for the return tickets this time will range from Rs 90,000.

Previously priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh, a return ticket from destinations in the United States now costs around Rs 2 lakh.

A 90,000-rupee return ticket from Australia now costs between 1 and 1.25 lakh rupees.

A ticket to Middle Eastern destinations typically costs between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. Previously, it cost between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000.

On the currency front, another setback awaits. The rupee’s decline in value in comparison to the US dollar will drive up the cost of traveling abroad even more.

PTI reported that on Monday, the rupee was trading around 82.72 (provisional) against the US dollar as the American currency fell from its highs.

The local unit opened at 82.69 against the dollar at the interbank foreign exchange market, up 10 paise from its previous close of 82.82.
