Bookings for the Innova Hycross ZX and ZX (O) had reopened last month after a year.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has halted the bookings for the range-topping ZX and ZX (O) variants of the Innova Hycross yet again.Â
- Innova Hycross ZX, ZX (O) bookings halted for the second time
- Other variants currently have a 14 month waiting period
Keeping in mind the high demand, Toyota has stopped taking bookings for the two variants, priced at Rs 30.34 lakh and Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The bookings for Innova Hycross ZX and ZX (O) were first halted in April last year due to supply-related issues, and resumed one year later. The top-spec variants have been in high demand ever since the Innova Hycross went on sale.
As of May, 2024, the Innova Hycross hybrid is available in VX and VX (O) variants, and even these two have a waiting period that goes up to 14 months. The non-hybrid petrol variants currently have a waiting period of six months. The waiting period on the Innova Hycross is even higher than the Toyota Vellfire flagship MPV which has a 12-month waiting period.
Toyota Innova Hycross: powertrain
The 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain puts out 184hp, and is mated to an e-CVT gearbox, while the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder NA petrol engine makes 173hp and 209Nm torque and gets a CVT automatic as standard.
The MPV also recently received a new non-hybrid ‘GX (O) variant’, priced at Rs 20.99 lakh. The Innova Hycross directly rivals its badge-engineered cousin, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, while also facing some competition from seven-seater SUVs like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.Â
