Innova Hycross hybrid has nearly 8 months waiting; next-gen Kodiaq is expected by May 2025.
I am using an Innova Crysta since 2016 and I have driven approximately 1,00,000km, mostly within the city. I plan to change my car now but I am not able to find a relevant option except for the Innova Hycross, and I don’t want the same kind of vehicle again. I was interested in the Skoda Kodiaq, too, but it lacks modern tech and the next-gen model is expected next year. I recently also checked out the BMW X1 and kind of liked the driving experience, but space is less. Should I wait for the new Kodiaq, go with the X1 or consider something else altogether?

Autocar India says: We understand that you are looking for a change after your Innova, but the Hycross is quite different and not more of the same MPV. It offers a more refined and luxurious experience. However, it is still an MPV and if you want a break from that type of vehicle, we suggest you wait for the next-gen Kodiaq due in the first half of 2025. The BMW X1 or the equivalent Mercedes GLA and Audi Q3 give you a certain snob value and feel special, but they are all very cramped, especially compared to the Innova.
