Saif Ali Khan starrer Bullett Raja released in 2013

The film was released in 2013 and also stars Sonakshi Sinha in lead role. The film failed to perform well at the box office

Tigmanshu Dhulia is a well-known director who is known for his films like Paan Singh Tomar and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster. He has recently opened up about his experience working with Saif Ali Khan during the shoot of Bullett Raja. The film was released in 2013 and also stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. He revealed that the film schedule shoot was extended because Saif Ali Khan never came on time. In a candid interview, Dhulia shared behind-the-scenes details about the challenges he encountered while making the action-packed film.

Talking about his experience, Dhulia told Mashable India, “The experience was very good. It could have been better if I had more time. The shoot was scheduled for 75 days but it finished in 102 days. I was under a lot of pressure. We were shooting during winters so we would get less daylight. Saif wouldn’t come on time. Otherwise, the experience was good.”

In 2014 interview, Tigmanshu Dhulia said to IANS, “I think the casting went wrong with Bullet Raja. Many people told me casting was wrong but when I was making the film, nobody told me… even during editing nobody told me …may be, I don’t know. We all make mistakes… it happens,” Tigmanshu, who had a huge contribution as a casting director in the critically acclaimed film “Bandit Queen”.

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan is set to grace the screen in Devara, an upcoming Telugu action film directed by Koratala Siva. Alongside Saif, the film stars NTRama Rao Jr., Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film is scheduled to release on September 27, 2024.

At a recent panel discussion moderated by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, audiences were given a glimpse into the creation of this epic saga. Set in a mythical coastal world, the film is about a fearless warrior, Devara (NTR Jr), who braves the treacherous seas to protect his people. But lurking beneath the waves is a deadly conspiracy — one that comes from within, as Devara’s brother, Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan), plots from the depths of the shadows.

During the interaction, Saif Ali Khan opened up about how he landed his first role in Telugu cinema. Recalling how he was approached for the role, Saif said, “Firstly, when I was approached for the film, it was a great honour. I love Hyderabad cinema and I think it is the future for a lot of Bombay actors, who will be lucky and excited to be in big Hyderabad movies. I was very lucky to get this offer.”
