Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed that contrary to popular belief that she leads a luxurious life, the actress makes sure to look at the price tags before purchasing any item.
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently celebrated her 43rd birthday on September 21. According to reports she enjoyed her special day with a low-key birthday bash at her husband-actor Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral home — Pataudi Palace. It was an intimate affair in the presence of close family members. Kareena, known for her luxurious lifestyle might be dubbed as high-maintenance by many, especially because she is a member of the royal Pataudi family. But it seems to be far from reality. Earlier in an interview with Neha Dhupia at the Luxury Finds Home talk show, Kareena Kapoor made a personal revelation, claiming that like most people, she always looks at the price tag before purchasing any item.
The short video excerpt from the throwback interview was dropped on Instagram on September 21. The video opens with Neha Dhupia asking Kareena Kapoor, “Do Saif and Kareena ever look at the piece tag while buying anything”? Quite promptly, our Bollywood Bebo replied, “I always look at the price tag. 100 per cent.” Elaborating on her statement, the Jab We Met actress shared that she and Saif Ali Khan had been working in the film industry since they were 17 years old. While she worked for 23 years, the Vikram Vedha actor worked for 30 years so far.
“So I think the whole idea is that it is not about having it and spending it and showing it off. The idea is to love something and keep it for years,” revealed Kareena Kapoor before adding that there is only one small exception. It is that she and Saif need to change bedsheets and towels once every one or two years.
Kareena Kapoor was announced as the brand ambassador for My Trident — the flagship home furnishing brand from Trident Group last month on August 21. The video was from the time when the Bollywood diva attended the glittery event in New Delhi. Dr Rajinder Gupta, the Chairman of Trident Group was also present on the occasion.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor made her OTT debut with Netflix’s Jaane Jaan, also starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial released on September 21 received mixed responses from the audience. She has also been roped in for director Rajesh Krishnan’s upcoming The Crew alongside Rajkummar Rao, Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu. Reports claim that she has also joined hands with director Ashutosh Gowariker, in an untitled film, which is expected to be the Bollywood adaptation of the Marathi film Aapla Manus.
