The Ladykiller director Ajay Bahl broke his silence on the rumours that the film was incomplete at the time of its release. The film starred Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in in the lead roles. The filmmaker has now clarified the rumours about the same.

The director of the film, Ajay Bahl cleared the air around it saying that the film released is a complete film and not an incomplete one as the rumours suggest, however a sarcastic remark made in passing has been picked up in a wrong connotation to which he clarifies

He shared, “It’s a humorous take on a baseless rumour circulating about the film’s completion status. I understand that humour and sarcasm can sometimes be misinterpreted. I want to emphasize that “Ladykiller” is a complete film which has been released for the audiences and I am immensely proud of this project. I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this film to fruition.’’

He added, “The entire team “Ladykiller,” including director Ajay Bahl and the dedicated crew, have poured their hearts and souls into this project, ensuring its completion and subsequent release.”

The Ladykiller had one of the bad Bollywood openings this year. As per an indiatimes.com report, only 293 tickets were sold on the film’s opening day in India, and the film recorded a box office collection was merely Rs 38,000.

Earlier in an interview, Arjun Kapoor talked about his preparation for the film and how it had impacted his emotional and mental well-being. He said, “The Lady Killer is something else. I have given a lot to that film. Mentally and emotionally, the film has been intense and raw for Bhumi and me. It is very real in that sense, as a love story. That’s why I went on vacation after that. I shot for about 45 days for that film and went away on a break. I needed to get out of that space.”
