The last episode of the Theodore Boborol-directed drama gave fans the love triangle showdown they had been waiting for.

The popular Filipino teen romantic drama The Jewel of Section E (aka Ang Mutya ng Section E) wrapped up its run on Thursday, April 24, and the finale certainly didn’t disappoint. Filled with emotional highs and a shocking twist, the last episode of the Theodore Boborol-directed series delivered the long-awaited love triangle showdown. The final episode, which had been postponed from April 18 to 24, answered the burning question fans had been eagerly waiting for: Who will Jay Jay choose—Keifer or Yuri?
Episode 16, titled The Engagement, opens with Jay Jay waking up after the Christmas party at Keifer’s house, trying to recollect what exactly happened last night. Her thoughts get interrupted when her grandmother enters with Christmas presents. Later, Jay Jay and her family attend a New Year’s party, where she sees Keifer and Yuri. Things take a sudden turn when it is revealed that it is not just a New Year’s party, but also a celebration of Yuri’s birthday and the partnership deal between Fernandez (Jay-Jay’s family) and Hanamitchi (Yuri’s family).
However, the shock doesn’t stop there as later Jay Jay also learns that it is a secret engagement ceremony for her and Yuri, and she was the only one who did not know about it. Overwhelmed with emotions, Jay Jay learns that her family’s company is on the verge of bankruptcy, and out of love for her family, she agrees to the engagement with Yuri, even though her heart is clearly torn.
Meanwhile, Keifer, who once wanted to use Jay Jay as part of a revenge plan, has a change of heart. He admits to Yuri that he really loves Jay Jay and no longer wants to hurt her. During the engagement party, when Keifer gets a moment alone in an elevator with her, he asks her if she really loves Yuri. He confesses his feelings and admits that he once wanted to use her.
Right before the New Year’s countdown, Keifer takes Jay Jay aside and opens up to her completely. Despite just being engaged to Yuri, she decides to kiss Keifer, thus choosing to follow her heart amid all the family drama. So, who did Jay Jay choose? While she agreed to marry Yuri, her heart clearly belonged to Keifer.
Based on the popular Wattpad book trilogy by Lara Flores, The Jewel Of Section E featured Ashtine Olviga, Andres Muhlach and Rabin Angeles in the lead roles.
