Another viral picture of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan from the sets of Thalaivar 170 has amped the excitement of the fans.
Only a few days back, Rajinikanth shared the first photo from the sets of his upcoming film, Thalaivar 170, and it featured his mentor Amitabh Bachchan. The Tamil superstar and the legendary Bollywood star are reuniting after 33 years for the film directed by T.J Gnanavel. The news of their reunion was confirmed by Lyca Productions a few weeks ago and now another viral picture of the two legendary stars has found its way on the internet.
In the snap, one can spot Amitabh Bachchan sitting on a revolving chair, in an office and Rajinikanth standing right beside him. The stellar duo seems to be engrossed looking at a cellphone which Big B is holding in his hands. His other hand has bandages wrapped around it. Amitabh Bachchan wore a smart white shirt and grey suit combo. On the other hand, Rajinikanth donned a brown shirt and white trousers. The official X(formerly Twitter) handle of Lyca Productions shared the image with the caption, “When Superstar and Shahenshah met on the sets of #Thalaivar170 Reunion on screens after 33 years! #Thalaivar170 is gonna be double dose of legends! @rajinikanth @SrBachchan. In the photo that was shared earlier, Rajinikanth was seen wearing a white outfit with what appeared to be a black wig while Amitabh dressed in one of his trademark pink and blue printed jackets with a head scarf. Amitabh held Rajinikanth close as they smiled for the cameras. Sharing the photo, Rajinikanth wrote, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!”
While details about their roles in the film are kept under tight wraps, an ETimes report in August suggested that Rajinikanth and Amitabh will lock horns in the film. Reportedly, the Jailer actor will be playing the role of a cop in this movie. An insider claims Big B will be playing the antagonist in the movie. Therefore, the film will present Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan clashing on-screen. However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitabh, Thalaivar 170 also stars Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil. The film began filming in Kerala earlier this month.
