Tata is soon set to introduce a new XT trim to the Tiago NRG’s line-up. The cross-hatch derivative of the Tiago is currently available in only one fully loaded XZ+ trim. The XT mid range trim will sit below the XZ+ and is likely to lose out on some features and be priced lower than the latter. Meanwhile, Tata is also expected to update the equipment list on the XT trim of the Tiago hatchback.
Tata Tiago NRG XT details, Tiago XT to get more features
Tata recently teased the Tiago NRG’s XT trim and while its details are limited at the moment, it is likely to miss out on some features compared to the XZ+.
Meanwhile, Tata is likely to add more features to the XT trim of the Tiago hatchback. The XT trim could get additional features like height-adjustable driver’s seat, rear parcel shelf, vanity mirror on the passenger side and blacked-out B-pillar. With the new features, the prices of the XT trim are likely to see a marginal rise. Currently, the Tata Tiago XT manual is priced at Rs 6 lakh and the XT AMT is priced at Rs 6.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is likely that these features will be carried over to the NRG XT.
Mechanically, both the NRG and the hatchback come powered by an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox options. The hatchback is also available with a CNG option.
